Heyho bloggers! Here I am, back to the blogging world. Well ya, it's been a long time since my last post. Actually, I really want to post something but I'm just too busy with my days and feels like I just need to wait until I'm eventually exploding.

Now on this post, I wanna share about my college life which has come to the end of the first year woohoo *goosebumps* *bungee jumping*. I just imagine it's been a year but feels like it's just yesterday when I packed my stuffs, left Jakarta and moved to Bali. I still remember clearly that day when my family took me to the airport, farewell at the airport, hug with my dad and big bro (my mom and lil bro accompanied me to Bali), those kisses and hugs and farewell waves, ah :')

Then, after those touchy farewells, I entered the check in counter airport and flew to Bali wuuuush~

In Bali, I got my replacement of my left friends in Jakarta. I got new friends and they're all just so.... what, I don't know the best words to describe them. They're amazing, unique, quirky, sometimes idiot, full of crazy ideas and they're all great in their own way. They have their own style which make them even more unique hihihi. Well, they are Raissa, Kokom, Bayu, Cici, Weni and Zitta. I usually do so many things with them. When I get bored, we usually go to DDR station at Timezone, buy nail polish, go to Kuta, or just hang out for dinner. Ah ya, Cici has a Chinese restaurant at Kuta and the foods served there are all EXTREMELY DELICIOUS! You readers, outta eat there once you go to Kuta. And just about a week ago, we went to Lombok for a field trip, an activity held by campus. We had some observation there.

About this observation, maybe I'll tell it more on my next post because I'm waiting for more photos.

The point is, I have a great life here with all my friends, new family here. Thank God, I thank You for everything :)

It's been a year! Unfortunately, I can pass a year with this blog hihi~

Actually, I didn't realize that today is my blog's first birthday. I just idly checked all my blog posts and found that my first blog was posted on May, 6th 2011. In a sudden, I remembered that I posted my first blog right after I made this blog. So, it's the day!

Firstly, this blog was named Girlicious and was meant to have girly things to be posted but I'm pretty sure I'm not that type of girl -_- so, I renamed it into et cetera... and was meant to have random things to be posted like random knowledge, profiles of famous people, logic tests, my experiences, and, et cetera... :)

Well, don't know else what to share. Once more, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAREST BLOG! Sorry if I often ignore you.

Stand-up Comedy

As we know, laughter is kinda our needs. We need to laugh or we'll be stressed out in facing our daily activities. And to be able to laugh, surely we need something funny that can make us laugh. For example, comedy. In that case, here I have one kind of comedy which is popular lately. It is stand-up comedy.

Stand-up comedy is a kind comedy performed in front of live audiences, speaking directly to them. The performer can be called as a comic, stand-up comic, stand-up comedian, or simply a stand-up. In stand-up comedy, the comic usually recites a fast-paced succession of humorous stories, short jokes called bits, and one-liners, which constitute what is typically called a monologue, routine or act.

Stand-up comedy is often performed in comedy clubs, bars, neo-burlesques, colleges and theaters, but there are no real restrictions on where the craft can be performed. Stand-up comedy is also performed by professional comedians outside of traditional entertainment venues, such as in country clubs, at corporate events and conferences, as charity fund raising events, even in temples and churches. Many smaller venues hold open mic events, where anyone can take the stage and perform for the audience, offering a way for amateur performers to hone their craft and possibly break into professionalism.

In Indonesia, stand-up comedy has known since a long time ago. Dono, Kasino, Indro are the first generation of stand-up comedy popularity in Indonesia and Taufik Savalas is the second generation. Then, stand-up comedy Indonesia was drowned. There was no new generation of Indonesian comics. It became vacuum for a long time.

Stand-up comedy began to rise in the mid-2011 when an open audition for comics was opened and televised. With the promotion from the two Indonesian celebs, Raditya Dika and Pandji Pragiwaksono, stand-up comedy has made it through social network, Twitter and YouTube. Raditya Dika and Pandji also started doing and promoting stand-up comedy, and also uploading their acts to social networks.

Characteristic of stand-up comedy in Indonesia, there are innuendos that appear in the joke, sarcasm typically theme of politics, culture, education, and can also appear in allusions which aimed at a well-known figure, that's the difference between stand-up comedy Indonesia with other countries.
